Was this film expected to gross this much? Dont actors sign contracts before the films are made?
Even, in Hollywood, actors are paid based on their popularity, so, why do you believe children who were not known to the world should be paid on the same scale?
My recollection, is that the film was to have gone straight to dvd, but the unforeseen happened and the makers of the film made a pot of money. You should probably do some research to see how films are made, what goes into it, who does what, who gets paid, overhead costs (then you'll say that Mr. Boyle didn't get ALL of the money).
It always amazes me to see how irrational people can be when they are in the position to pass judgment, but how different things can be when the tables have been turned.
