Under NO circumstances should any money be given to the family to manage. Setting up a trust fund is appropriate. If the money is given to the family, the kids will never be taken care of.
It's not the producers responsibility to see that these kids are taken care of. This may sound cold, but their business with the kids is over. It's good that they have agreed to get the kids out of the slum by buying them a house and setting up the trust fund and whatever other steps they have taken. But, they are not obligated to the kids.
The government need to do their part and take care of the people.
